陈天石,男,1985年6月生,江西南昌人。2010年毕业于中国科学技术大学计算机学院,获工学博士学位。同年进入中国科学院计算技术研究所工作。研究方向为计算机体系结构和计算智能。在IEEE/ACM Transactions、Theoretical Computer Science、ASPLOS、ISCA、MICRO、HPCA、IJCAI、AAAI、SPAA、DATE等重要期刊和会议上发表论文40余篇。曾获ASPLOS最佳论文奖(2014)、MICRO最佳论文奖(2014)、全国百篇优秀博士论文提名奖(2012)、中国计算机学会优秀博士论文奖(2011)、中国科学院优秀博士论文奖(2011)、中国科学院院长奖(2010)等荣誉,并入选计算所百星计划(2011)、CCF-Intel青年学者提升计划(2014)。

陈天石 中科寒武纪科技CEO
陈天石口中的“我们”,指的是“寒武纪科技创始团队”。这位年少成名的中国科学院计算技术研究所研究员,那时还没想过“寒武纪科技创始人兼CEO”这个头衔会让他如此出名。寒武纪科技是全球智能芯片领域的先行者,陈天石在处理器架构和人工智能领域深耕十余年。2019年10月,寒武纪发布“云端芯片思元270”。陈天石介绍,“思元270”是寒武纪最新一代云端AI芯片产品,集成了120亿个晶体管,处理稠密机器学习模型的理论峰值性能提升至上一代思元100的4倍,达到128万亿次(INT8)。“‘思元270’支持INT4、INT8,INT16和INT32运算,理论峰值分别达到256万亿次、128万亿次、64万亿次和32万亿次;支持混合精度运算,支持同一机器学习模型内的不同数据块使用不同的运算精度进行计算。”此外,“思元270”采用寒武纪公司自主研发的MLUv02架构,包含数百条人工智能基本指令,支持16个处理器核协同开展高效的计算,满足多样化机器学习模型的计算力要求,兼备通用性和性能优势,可支持视觉、语音、自然语言处理以及传统机器学习等高度多样化的人工智能应用。
2019年11月,在第21届高交会上,寒武纪科技发布了一款面向边缘人工智能计算的芯片新品“思元220”(MLU220),思元220的问世,标志着寒武纪已经具备了从终端(寒武纪1A、1H、1M处理器IP)、边缘端(思元220芯片)到云端(思元100、思元270芯片)完整的智能芯片产品线。
2017年度科技创新人物陈天石陈云霁兄弟 。研制了国际上首个深度学习处理器寒武纪,引领了该领域的学术发展;将寒武纪应用到华为旗舰手机Mate10中,使先进智能技术普惠千家万户;孵化了国际上首个智能芯片独角兽创业公司寒武纪公司。
2021年11月3日,寒武纪发布第三代云端AI芯片思元370、基于思元370的两款加速卡MLU370-S4和MLU370-X4、全新升级的Cambricon Neuware软件栈。从云端推理思元270、边缘推理思元220、云端训练思元290,到最新发布的推训一体思元370,寒武纪为用户提供了覆盖不同场景、不同算力规模的全系列产品。此次发布的256TOPS算力的思元370主要面向中高端推训场景,与主要面向训练的512TOPS高端产品思元290形成协同,共同为客户提供全功能、全场景的智能算力。寒武纪长期秉承“云边端一体、训推一体、软硬件协同”的技术理念。370新品发布和寒武纪统一基础软件平台Cambricon Neuware的全新升级,将这一技术理念的落实又向前推进了重要的一步。寒武纪用自己的研发实力和研发速度向市场印证自己的初心与决心:为人工智能的大爆发提供最好用的AI芯片,让机器更好地理解和服务人类。
